Here's what's Happening in our Legion Family!
Turn in your used and tattered flags for proper disposal.  There is a flag depository on the front steps of the Municipal Building.
We accept aluminum cans as a fundraiser.  Cans can be dropped off behind the Legion between the storage sheds.  Thank you.

Sunday January 29, 2017, 3rd District American Legion held its American Legion Oratorical Scholarship Contest at the Barneveld Legion Post.  Darlington's very own Josh Weaver won.  Pictured L to R: Dan O’Brien, Josh Weaver, Harold Rihn, Lucy Trann, Paul Budden.
The Lafayette County Advocacy Fund donated $150 to Theresa Czechowski to support her son, Kory, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan and was going to spend Christmas hospitalized in the VA Hospital.  The proceeds were used to purchase gifts for Kory to show support for his service.
Darlington Middle School Students along with Guidance Counselor Lori Nodorft getting ready to mail out packages to troops overseas.  Darlington Post 214, SAL Squadron 214, and Legion Member Jordan Johnson all donated to help with the cost of the shipping of these packages.
SAL Member Landon King runs the sweepstakes drawing for the Sons of the American Legion Annual Sweepstakes.  The drawing was held the same night as the Friendship Fund Auction.  2016 proceeds exceeded $4,000.
56 motorcycles lined the Darlington American Legion parking lot on Friday, June 17, waiting to head out on the three day ride, the Wisconsin Legacy Ride, hoping to raise $60,000 in scholarship monies available for children who have lost a parent since the 9/11 attacks.

Post Commander Dave Gough and Darlington Senior Josh Weaver.  Josh just completed his 4th year of participating in The American Legion Oratorical Scholarship Program a the Post level.  Commander Dave is presenting Josh with a Scholarship Check for $100.

Veterans Day Program held at Darlington Legion Post 214.  Teachers Tina Schliem and John Bausch along with students from the Middle School have put this program on for 6 years.  The program is open to the public and the turnout has been fantastic.
